Počátkem 4. čtvrtletí 2007 uvolnila společnost Compuware nové vydání vývojového prostředí UNIFACE 9.2., které obsahuje následující zásadní technická vylepšení.

Support for multi-channel deployment: 'From mobile to the mainframe' Compuware increases the number of supported deployment platforms with support for mobile and handheld devices. Uniface supports Windows Mobile 2005/2006. With Uniface 9.2 developing mobile applications is essentially the same as developing any other Uniface application, thus making the Uniface runtime environment accessible on handheld devices. A robust wireless TCP connector is made available via WiFi GPRS, UMTS and Bluetooth. Synchronization and database connectors are also provided for localized, embedded databases suitable for mobile applications, such as DB2 Everyplace, Oracle Lite, and Embedded Database EDB. Compuware Uniface is the only development tool that can deploy applications on virtually every platform from mainframes to UNIX, Windows, web browsers, and mobile devices.

Integrated Application Platform Suite (APS): 'Successful SOA with application renewal' Underpinning multi-channel deployment is Uniface’s ability to enable successful delivery of SOA through its newly integrated APS and new features such as extended web services support, Unicode, and process driven development. Uniface 9.2 will talk to any standards-compliant web service, no matter how complex its data, and is 100 per cent WS-I compliant. It supports new binding styles such as Document Literal Wrapped and Bare, as well as modelling and validation of complex data from different namespaces in plain XML documents.

Higher productivity for the web: 'Build better applications, faster' With version 9.2, Compuware offers a fully integrated and optimized web development facility within Uniface. This enables developers to build web applications faster. Uniface 9.2 dramatically improves the look and feel of these applications in order to enhance the usability of Uniface applications.

In addition, there are improvements in usability, deployment and performance, and Uniface 9.2 comes with a broad range of new samples that clearly show how to implement the latest Uniface 9.2 functionality.
